Happy New Year!!

For the new year gift, I'm going to recap episode 1 bicara hati.( Malay drama) This drama is an adaptation from popular malay novel around year 2002- 2003 if i'm not mistaken.

Episode 1 recap:

In London, Tengku Syahran got to know Linda's bad behavior, her playgirl attitude. After a few years, back in Malaysia his mother (Tengku Badariah) forced him to marry Linda. This is due to the promise that she already made with her bestfriend, Datin Rohana to tie-the knot of their children. Syahran refused to accept his mother plan and ask her to cancel off the wedding. His mother ask him the reason to cancel the wedding. Syahran told everything he knows about Linda, her bad attitude: exchanging partner. He also kept mentioned that Linda was not suitable for him.

Because of his stubbornness, Tengku Badariah gave Syahran one month to find the suitable candidate to be his wife. If he didn't bring any candidates within this period, his marriage with Linda will be held as promise.

Next, we will see Razif confessed his feeling towards Zahlia in classroom of the orphanage house. However, Zahlia can't accept his feeling because she didn't feel the same as Razif. She just thought Razif as her brother. Not in love-relationship. At that time, Razif have nose bleeding which make Zahlia worried about him. Then, they were heading to hospital where Zahlia knows Razif has lung cancer. The doctor told Zahlia that Razif should be quickly into the surgery.

Back into Syahran's life, he told his bestfriend Adli about his mother's plan. Adli come into plan to match-making him with their old friend from school, Marini. They happen to meet at the restaurant. Adli told Syahran to assume this meeting as their small reunion with old friends. After that meeting, Syahran disagreed to accept Marini as her wife to be as her attitude seems flutter and annoying woman.

For Zahlia,she told everything with her bestfriend, Fatimah about Razif condition. They were trying to find ways to collect money for the surgery. Next day, Zahlia ask her employer about their orphanage funds that can be used for the surgery. However, they do not have much money as the donor is decreasing. She also asked her foster mother to borrow some money for the surgery cost. But, her foster mother cannot lend a hand because she is struggling in her business as well as her marriage life problem where her husband married to another woman.

In her way to the hospital after received a phone call from the doctor, her car accidently hit Syahran's car at the junction. She ask for apologize and promise to be responsible for that accident. Syahran insisted to settle down this as quickly as possible at the mechanic, so that Zahlia will pay for the damage. But Zahlia couldn't afford to pay it at that time which make Syahran mad and disdain Zahlia and her car. He said that the damage cost of his car is the same value to buy Zahlia's car. Zahlia felt mad after heard that saying. She said that everything is equal, he commits the mistake and so she is. So, she doesn't need to be responsible anymore. Syahran said she misunderstood of what he's saying and asked her identity card, phone no and licence.

At first, Zahlia refused to give it all but Syahran told this to claim insurance. They were heading to the printing shop to photostat the things. Then, Syahran ask her to keep her i/c for his guarantee as he has some problem with his insurance. Zahlia agreed as Syahran promised to settle down this quickly and they do not have to report to the police.

After the incident, Syahran called Zahlia to infrom her about the damage cost. He told the cost of his car about Rm 2000 and she should pay it within one week as the car will be ready in that period. Zahlia was taken aback to hear the cost but she also felt thankful to have more time to pay for the damage.

Later, Syahran call her again,but Zahlia refused to answer that call. So, Syahran send the message to meet up.

At the resturant, Syahran keeps talking about his arranged marriage. He asked her what she would do if she face the same situation as he is. To marry someone that you do not love. Zahlia answered that she understands the situation and ask Syahran what exactly the meeting is all about. Syahran knows that Zahlia didn't understand what he's trying to say. So, he explained slowly that she do not have to pay for the accident but she needs to pretend marry him. Then the drama will be continued next week.

Comment:

So far, episode 1 is just nice. Although there are some addition and alteration from the novel, but it seems the story line is still there. And I'm glad that the script is pretty natural.I just hope next episode will be getting better and better.
