Mia Taeng (Lakorn/ Thai Drama)

Lakorn means Thailand drama.

Mia Taeng (Wedded wife) is another force marriage drama. This is not a new theme in Lakorn world since most of my lakorns (already watched) have this kind of story line. Honestly,I didn't feel tired to watch and enjoy these kind of lakorns because Thailand is the best at making cheesy love. The cliche drama. Don't get me wrong. What I mean is that, their love story just to good to be true. And this isn't bad right?

Back to our drama Mia Taeng, Kongkai has been forced to marry Arunprapai. This is an order from his mother since he lives like a playboy. If he refused to marry the girl that his mother choose, all of the wealth will be hand over to the charity and he will inherit nothing.  Arunprapai on the other hand, accept the marriage in order to prevent her ex-lover,Phuchong a married man chasing her.

For Kongkai, he has a lover, Prungchat whom he loves so much. However, his mother doesn't approve it since she knows that Prungchat and her family have their own agenda to seize Kongkai's wealth. Kongkai agreed to marry Arunprapai but then make a promise to Prungchat that this marriage will only last for one year. However, many things happen during their marriage when both of them started to love each other. And Prungchat promised that she will never let Kongkai and Arunprapai to be happy.

Cast;
Our Kongkai and Arunprapai

Arunprapai, Kongkai and Prungchat
This drama has been aired on Thai television on July 2011 and runs with 19 episodes. Mia Taeng was a remake from the old lakorn.

My point of views;

The drama has its humor and dark side. Although the story seems too cliche, but still, I enjoy watching it to the end. It makes me feel giggled sometimes. Hey, this is cheesy right? Haha

The script line was pretty sharp and wise especially for Arunprapai character. I love when the heroin has pretty strong character. Arunprapai knows how to take care of herself despite having to face the craziness and ridiculous Kongkai and his lover, Prungchat. She knows how to face Kongkai jealousy and Prungchat madness. She's not your typical Lakorn heroin who always crying and accepting fate easily. Although she might have a few of ridiculous decision towards the end of the drama. But then, the audiences know the reason why she acted like that.

Kongkai on the other hand is your typical lakorn hero. He has dark side on him. He can be the best and worst partner for Arunprapai. His jealousy towards his own wife is totally insane and ridiculous. Plus he can't even noticed the plastic and fake Prungchat. Obviously, she had do so much bad things even little kid also can recognized it, but not to our Kongkai character. He's such as a dumb ass. Later, he slowly change when he knows that he loves his wife.

What annoyed me most in this drama was Prungchat that pop up every minutes in every episode. Seriously, I'm so tired to watch Prungchat drama in this drama. Haha. She has so much on- screen rather than Arunprapai. ( I think). And jealousy is the number one enemy in relationship. What more can I say, most of the scenes happened due to jealousy and hatred. Again, cheesy love right?

Well, it's not easy for me to wrap this entire 19 episodes into one long essay, the reviewing essay. All I can say, the actors and actress have done pretty good job in portraying their character. To watch this lakorn, you can search in Youtube. They have uploaded this drama with English sub.
